About Marilee

Warmth and compassion. Honesty and direction.

I help couples and individuals see the patterns that are difficult to recognize from inside them — and develop practical tools for changing what happens next.

How I work

Therapy should help you see clearly — and do something differently.

I’m not the kind of therapist who simply sits back and asks, “How does that make you feel?”

I work collaboratively and directly. I’ll meet you with compassion, but I won’t leave you alone with the very patterns that brought you to therapy. We will pay attention to what is happening beneath the story, how it shows up between you and the people you love, and what a healthier response can look like.

The work is not about perfection or blame. It is about greater awareness, honest accountability, and building the relational skills that help change last beyond the session.

Professional background

More than two decades of clinically grounded relationship work.

I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2005, with specialized training in the systemic dynamics that influence how we relate to ourselves and those around us.

My early work in residential treatment with teens and their families deepened my understanding of complex relational systems and the role connection can play in meaningful change. Today, I bring that foundation to focused work with couples and individuals.

Relational Life Therapy

Accountability without shame. Connection without self-abandonment.

As a Certified Relational Life Therapist, I bring a powerful, skills-based approach to relationship work. RLT helps people confront unhealthy dynamics with honesty and compassion, understand the role they play, and learn how to show up in more connected, respectful, and emotionally mature ways.

I value work that is practical, emotionally honest, and rooted in the belief that people can learn to relate differently.
